The BANDELIN tubular reactor enables the flow treatment of high volume flows in process engineering and is also used in wire cleaning. The oscillation systems are mounted on the outside of the reactor tube, which means that there is no need for installations inside the reactor tube. The tubular reactor is therefore particularly insensitive to blockages when sonicating substrates containing solids.
The main fields of application of the BANDELIN tubular reactor are:
- Intensive ultrasound treatment of thread- and tape-shaped products
- Support industrial and biotechnological processes in cleaning, disintegration, degassing and deagglomeration
- Efficient cleaning of fats, oils, emulsions and/or crack residues in single and multi-wire cleaning
- CO2 degassing from aqueous reactants
- Support of Disinfection (killing of bacteria) in water and wastewater treatment
- Acceleration of disintegration and/or degradation of organic pollutant material in the treatment of sewage sludge
- Disintegration of biogas substrate
- Supporting the disinfection of fish farming circulation water contaminated with germs and parasites
- Dispersing solids in liquids (drug production)
The 3-inch tubular reactor was developed for the ultrasonic treatment of high volume flows or substrates with a high solids content. Due to the unique design, there is no need for installations or changes to the cross section in the reactor, making the tubular reactor particularly resistant to blockages. The BANDELIN tubular reactor is primarily used in biogas plants to increase the biogas yield by shredding the biogas substrate.
