Filtration
The following types of paper filters are suitable for filtering aqueous solutions (acidic/alkaline) and normal pressure. The residue is analyzed. These papers are best suited for: food control, beverage analysis, environmental monitoring.
Variety 589/1: coarse precipitation. Retention range approx. 12-25 μm, fast
- Determination of ash content and PCB contamination in foodstuffs according to LFBG § 64 (1) and (2)

- Analysis of galvanic baths: brass, chrome, gold, silver, lead, copper
- Beverage industry: Determination of the protein constituents of wort and beers by means of magnesium sulfate precipitation
- Determination of nitrogen compounds by phosphomolybdenum precipitation. Determination of carbohydrates by hydrolysis
589/3: colloidal precipitates, retention range about 1-2 μm, very slow
- For very fine, crystalline precipitates such as BaSO4 (hot precipitated), PbSO4, ZnS, NiS
- Analysis of oils and fats of animal or vegetable origin: Determination of the proportion of soluble impurities
- Treatment of drinking water and waste water: determination of chemical elements and some radioactive substances by the use of gravimetric, photometric and colorimetric precipitation methods

595: medium fine crystalline precipitation, retention range approx. 4-7 μm medium rapid, thin
- Determination of the total fat content in foodstuffs according to LFBG § 64 (1) and 2 (folded)
