Force Performance LC columns are the result of more than 20 years of experience in liquid chromatography and they are characterized by durability and reproducibility, even under the stresses of UHPLC. Their world-class quality is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. And perhaps most importantly, Force columns are fully scalable between 3 or 5 µm HPLC and 1.8 µm UHPLC, so you can easily transfer and optimize methods without extensive calculations. Use Force LC columns for all your HPLC and UHPLC instrument platforms.
The general-purpose Restek C18 column is a conventional monomeric octadecylsilane column suitable for analysis of a wide range of acidic to weakly basic compounds.
Stationary phase category: C18, octadecylsilane (L1).
Ligand type: C18 with endcapping
Particle size: 1.8 µm, 3 μm, or 5 μm fully porous silica
Pore size: 100 Å
Carbon loading: 20
Endcapping: yes
Surface area: 300 m2/g
Recommended use:
pH range: 2.0-8.0
Maximum temperature: 80 °C
Maximum pressure: 1034 bar/15000 psi (1.8 μm), 600 bar/8700 psi (3 μm); 400 bar/5800 psi (5 μm). For maximum life, the recommended maximum pressure for 1.8 μm sized particles is 830 bar/12000 psi.
Features:
Compatible with moderately acidic to neutral mobile phases (pH 2-8).
Excellent data quality for food, environmental, bioanalytical and other applications.
Switch to a C18 column:
When you need a general-purpose column for reversed-phase chromatography.
When you need to increase the retention of hydrophobic compounds.
Note: We strongly recommend that you only order a semi-preparative or preparative column once you have evaluated the desired separation on an equivalent column on an analytical scale.
Because we cannot reuse a column or the silica within it once it leaves our facility, we cannot accept returns of large columns.
