Syringe Filters
Syringe filters are ideal for filtering the sample solution before injection. These are usually membrane filters made of appropriate materials. They are also available as glass fibre filters or as membrane filters with glass fibre pre-filters in cases where a glass fibre filter is required in front of the membrane filter. When selecting syringe filters, the highest quality materials should be used as the sensitivity of the analytical method increases. These are specially tested for interfering substances. In addition, they guarantee a high batch consistency for steady, reliable analytical results.

To find the right syringe filter for your application, follow the steps below:
1. Determine the filter size:
3 mm: for sample volumes < 1 ml
15 mm: for sample volumes 1 - 10 ml
25 mm: for sample volumes > 10 ml
2. Determine the pore size:
0.20 μm: recommended for UHPLC and HPLC columns with pore sizes < 3 μm
0.45 μm: recommended for HPLC columns with pore sizes < 3.5 μm
3. Do you need a glass fibre membrane?
If so, choose a filter with glass fibre (GF) membrane, e.g. GF / PTFE.
4. Select the appropriate membrane
