With the preparative Thermo Scientific™ Hypersil™ PREP BDS C8 HPLC column with reversed phase, upscaling from analytical to preparative LC column can be performed. With similar selectivity to C18 columns and predictable elution order, C8 columns with base deactivation for reduced silanol activity are ideal for analytes with intermediate hydropathy or when a less hydrophobic phase is required to achieve optimal retention. The reduced hydrophobicity allows compounds to elute faster, resulting in shorter separation times.
