Filter funnels are suited for separating suspensions by diffusion through a porous surface. It is important to differentiate between the classic filter funnels and buechner funnels. The Analytics-shop offers all filter funnels and buechner funnels manufactured by Duran and IDL GmbH, which are characterised by the excellent properties of the materials used.
The glass filters are classified as being in porosity classes 0 to 5 according to their nominal maximum pore size. The following table shows the corresponding porosity range. The specified pore sizes always relate to the largest pore in the plate. This specification also characterises the minimum nominal size of particles which may be retained by the filtration.

All filter funnels of DURAN are manufactured out of borosilicate glass, which is charaterized by high resistance against chemicals and changes is temperature. Filter funnels are linked by a cubic ruber gasket (GUKO). The following tabelle gives you an overview of the product range of DURANs filter funnels.

IDL GmbH - Buechner Funnels
Buechner funnels are filter funnels with a worked into sieve instead of a porous filteration layer. The filter papers required for separations with buechner funnels can also be found at the analytics-shop.com. The following tabelle gives you an overview of the products of IDL GmbH.
