Glass beads 2 mm, 500 g

Merck Millipore glass beads are made of colourless soda-lime glass. They are suitable for a variety of applications, e.g. for filling distillation columns (the size of the glass beads determines the distillation speed and separation), as agitators and mixing beads, e.g. when mixing highly soluble solutions or substances that are difficult to dissolve, and to prevent overheating during distillation, especially in high-purity solvents or acids.

The glass beads can also be used in the concentration or capitation of solutions (here they prevent weight changes even with aggressive substances and at high temperatures, so that the evaporation or evaporation dish can be reweighed with glass beads).
