7mm Pellet Die with pellet ring holder

The Pellet Die and Ring Holder Assembly is a required component of the 2 Ton Hydraulic KBr Press (L1272491). It consists of a 7 mm Pellet Die set and a Pellet Ring Holder.

To prepare a KBr pellet, the sample material is blended with KBr powder and loaded into the Pellet Ring Holder and Anvil Die set. This is placed on the 2 Ton Press, and a load is applied. Once the sample is in pellet form, the Ring Holder with the pellet inside can be placed in the 3” by 2” Slide-Mounted Disc Holder and slid into the spectrometer's sample compartment, optimally positioning the pellet for FT-IR analysis.
