Haldenwanger porcelain crucibles are manufactured out of labour porcelain and Alsint 99,7. The corresponding properties and all products available are listed below. Caused by high fire retardance of Alsint 99,7 (melting point > 2000 °C) and extraordinary chemical resistance crucibles and other devices made out of Alsint 99,7 are finding various use. There are three different forms of cruciles obtainable, cylindrical crucibles with flat bottom (typ 1), conical crucibles with wide form (typ 2) and conical crucibles with a tall form (typ 3). The different sizes and dimensions of each crucible can be found in the following table. For more information about closures for crucibles of Haldenwanger visit our site closures.

The crucibles available of Bochem are manufactured from high purity nickel and 18/10 steel. Four typs of crucibles are differed, depending on the wall thickness: 0,5 mm (typ 1), 1,0 mm (typ 2), 1,5 mm (typ 3) und 2,0 mm (typ 4). Closures for the crucibles are not part of delivery and have to be ordered separatly. If you need any closures for your crucibles, you can find all information in the category closures.

Thermo Scientific Nalgene PC tins(Polycarbonate) are straight-sided with a large opening. This material offers high impact resistance and is especially suited for storing samples in cooling rooms or freezers.
PMP tins (Polymethylpentene) of Thermo Scientific Nalgene also have a straight side. Furthermore these tins are delivered with a screw closure out of PP (Polypropylene). The advantages of PMP versus glass are reduced weigth on the one side and breaking protection as well as protection of contamination on the other side.
PP tins of Thermo Scientific Nalgene are characterized by a straight side, large opening and a screw closure. The advantages of this material are the same as the ones already discribed for PMP tins. Additionally the sizes 125 and 250 ml fit to Osterizer mixer and other mixers with Mason thread.

The special composition of the glass used by Duran, which is also used for tins of Duran, enables the unique chemical resistance, minimum termperature expansion as well as high thermal shock resistance. Additionally a consistent distribution of the wall thickness minimizes the tension of the glass and avoids potential breaking while heating or cooling.

Thick walled tins of Bürkle obtainable are delivered without a srew cap and are especially suited for sampling and transport. Thereby the user can choose between highly transparent PP for powders and liquids or autoclavable PFA for extremly pure sample taking. Attention should be paid to that PFA is not suited for food industry.

HD-PE (High Density Polyethylen) tins of Kautex are especially suited for storage containers for solid and liquid samples. These screw cap tins are mainly characterized by high chemical resistance versus many organic solvents. Additionally the increased density of PE ensures excellent tear strength.
