The PerkinElmer® SCIEX patented ShadowStop prevents photons and un-ionized matrix constituents from entering the quadrupole, lowering system background, and eliminating drift. This innovation also enhances ease-of-use because the ShadowStop is grounded, making is a passive part of the ion optic design.
