About SureSTART Crimp Caps Level 2 high throughput applications

Use Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 20 mm Crimp Caps with crimp vials that have a 20 mm opening, including our SureSTART 10 mL and 20 mL Glass Crimp Top Headspace Vials (Level 2). Choose level 2 products for high throughput applications where robustness and reproducibility are critical.

Choose from aluminum caps with general purpose silicone/PTFE septa with various hardness values to reduce problems with autosampler needles. Thermo Scientific™ manual or electronic crimping pliers and decappers make it easy to apply and remove crimp caps.

Features of SureSTART 20 mm Level 2 Crimp Caps

• Pressure-relieving cap design: The cap has a perforated ring that splits when the septum is pushed upwards by high internal pressure. This releases the seal so that the pressure can be safely released.
• Molded Pharmafix septa - These septa consist of a hard, central area of PTFE embedded in an outer and top cover of a softer butyl elastomer.
• High temperature septa - Thanks to a special silicone formulation, these septa can be heated to over 250°C without excessive softening of the septum or release of volatile vapors.
