Description

CORTECS Shield RP18 columns offer complementary selectivity to C8 and C18 stationary phases. The embedded carbamate group in the ligand of the bound phase provides an alternative selectivity, especially for phenolic compounds compared to straight-chain alkyl columns. The morphology of the solid core particles offers high efficiency and lower back pressure compared to fully porous particles of similar size.

This Cortecs Shield RP18 column from Waters has a length of 150 mm and an inner diameter of 2.1 mm with a particle size of 1.6 µm.

CORTECS columns are available as reversed phase and HILIC options for seven column materials with different particle properties and innovative charged surface modifications. Compared to columns with fully porous particles, they enable 20 % faster separations and 25 % higher resolution at low operating pressures.
