Spherisorb C8 columns are universal silica-based reversed phase columns containing an octyl ligand. These USP L7 columns are used when a less retentive sorbent is required compared to Spherisorb ODS columns.
Due to a wide range of particle sizes (3, 5 and 10 µm) and high-quality bonded phases for different separation selectivities, the column is recommended in analytical and preparative chromatography.
This version of the Spherisorb C8 column has an inner diameter of 4.6 mm, a length of 150 mm and a particle size of 3.0 µm.
When developing your methods, you don't want to leave anything to chance - especially not whether your columns will work: The Waters Spherisorb column is one of the most proven and widely cited HPLC columns in the literature. More than 2,000 published analytical abstracts refer to Waters Spherisorb columns. This provides you with an immense number of validated methods and applications to support your method development.
