Description
- Replacement cartridges are supplied with plastic end caps to prevent air contaminants from depleting the charcoal. The split vent trap does not need to be removed from the GC to replace the cartridge. Simply unscrew the outer plastic tub from the large fitting on the inlet end, then remove the cartridge. Leave the rubber O-rings in place inside each large fitting. Remove the plastic end caps off the new cartridge, slide it into the outer plastic tube, then screw this back onto the first large fitting. Tighten only finger-tight, which will be about 1/4 to 1/2 turn past the first point of resistance. Do not over tighten.
