The range of photoionization detector (PID) lamps includes both direct current (DC) and radio frequency (RF) versions, distinguished by high spectral purity and long service life. They are ideally suited for the detection of volatile organic compounds in gas chromatography and for the ionization of samples in mass spectrometry. Depending on the application, the lamps are available in various configurations with regard to gas filling, window material, and ionization energy.
