Hollow Cathode Lamps
Hollow cathode lamps (HCL) for AAS
37mm hollow cathode lamps (HCL) are used on most equipments: Analytik Jena, Baird Atomic, Beckman, Corning, Evans, GBC, Hitachi, Jenoptik, Unicam, Shimadzu, Thermo, Varian, Zeiss etc.
In our shop you will find more than 600 HCLs for all equipments.Multi element lamps can be used for various elements and save time and money.
Hollow cathode lamps are sources of radiation in an atomic absorption spectrometer. The cathode of these lamps consists of the element of the analyte. In this lamp for AAS neon atoms are accelerated by a strong electric field. Meet the neon atoms at the cathode, where they beat out atoms. The ejected atoms behave like a gas and are excited by shock reactions with the electrons of the gas filling the lamps in the electric field. This light of its specific wavelength is emitted.
