Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)
The Gel Permeation Chromatography (GCP) is a variation of the liquid chromatography where it's possible to separate the molecules of dissolved substances according to their size. The conventional calibration solely takes place when a concentration detector (RI or UV) is applied. For the calibration usually several different-sized polymer standards with low polydispersities are used. In addition to the need of the separation column for a successful application, the use of a high-quality standard is also indispensable.
