For volumes up to 200 ml, syringe filters are the most practical tool. The syringe filters with PES membrane are very suitable for the filtration of biological solutions with small volumes (<200ml) due to their low, non-specific adsorption properties for proteins and the high flow rate. The high flow rate and mechanical stability of the membrane enable very high overall throughput and rapid sterilization of small volumes of biological fluids and particle removal. For easy handling, they offer a Luer lock (male) as an output and a Luer lock (female) as an input. The PES syringe filters are HPLC tested and have a minimum extractable component of <0.1%. The housing is made of polypropylene.

Hydrophilic PES membranes are very porous. This allows you to achieve an excellent flow of aqueous solutions. Due to their asymmetric membrane structure, they combine high flow rates and high physical stability in end devices: larger pore openings on the inlet surface and a narrowing of the pore diameter towards the underside of the membrane. Due to their low non-specific protein binding, they are suitable for filtering biological and pharmaceutical solutions without affecting the ingredients through adsorption or decomposition. Their low proportion of extractable substances prevents the contamination of culture media, drug preparations, pharmaceuticals or infusion solutions. They also pass the strict test for biocompatibility and cytotoxicity according to USP standard.

The shelf life of the finished products in the warehouse is continuously monitored. Each filter holder undergoes the following five test methods: bubble point, burst pressure, membrane adsorption, flow rate and extractables.
