Application: Environmental monitoring for isolators & clean rooms, Active or passive air monitoring, Fingerprint, Selective detection of yeast and molds
Packaging: 90 mm settle plate (20 or 120 plates per box)
Synonym: Selective Sabouraud Dextrose Agar with Lecithin, Tween, Histidin and Thiosulfate, SDA with neutralizer
Sabouraud Dextrose Agar + LTHTh - ICR in 90 mm settle plates (non-lockable) is a selective media for the determination of the total count of yeasts and molds in air via active or passive air monitoring as well as fingerprints of personnel in critical clean room classes or isolators. Sabouraud Dextrose Medium contains digests of animal tissues (peptones), which provide a nutritious source of amino acids and nitrogenous compounds for the growth of fungi and yeasts. Dextrose is added as the energy and carbon source. The low pH favors fungal growth. Lecithin, polysorbate (Tween®) 80, histidine, and sodium thiosulfate are neutralizers to inactivate residues of disinfectants. In addition, the medium contains irradiation-resistant antibiotics to inhibit the accompanying bacterial flora. To differentiate Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA) from Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA), SDA ICR media are filled in a pink-colored dish.
Storage Temperature +15°C up to +25°C.
