Tryptone Soy Contact Agar + LT - ICR+ was developed for the determination of the total number of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms on dry, disinfected surfaces, as well as on personnel in clean rooms and isolators. It is a complex medium for the cultivation and isolation of many bacteria, yeasts, and molds. The formulation of the soy-casein-peptone medium contains a combination of casein and soy peptones and provides organic nitrogen, particularly amino acids and longer-chain peptides. The medium also contains neutralizing agents (deinhibitors) such as lecithin, polysorbate 80 (Tween®), and pyruvate to inactivate any disinfectant residues present on dry surfaces. In addition, the ICR-plus plates (plus or "+") are equipped with a sealable lid for safe transport after sampling without the risk of lid loss. ICR-plus plates are suitable for aerobic and anaerobic incubation. For aerobic incubation, the lid is turned to the "Closed" position and for anaerobic incubation, to the "Vented" position.
