The MicroSEQ Assay product line is based on TaqMan® Real-Time PCR . Real-time PCR is a proven method for detecting pathogens and has been used successfully for a variety of foodborne pathogens. The method tests for foodborne pathogens by amplifying and detecting a DNA target sequence that is unique to the organism being tested. In this way, real-time PCR can detect pathogens quickly, easily, and with outstanding sensitivity and specification.
